SPAIN: Plenium Partners taking offers for 350 MW onshore wind portfolio

Plenium Partners has put up for sale a 351 MW operating onshore wind portfolio held via its Helia Renovables II, III and IV funds, it is understood.

The group is working with financial advisor SocGen on the disposal of the assets, having begun approaching a small group of prospective acquirers in mid-October, according to market sources.

The Madrid-based investor is believed to be running the process more by way of several bilateral conversations, rather than a formal auction, with deal close targeted in Q1 2026.

The portfolio comprises 17 separate projects which have been online on average since 2012 and which can receive a regulated tariff for around another 3.5 years, but which are otherwise uncontracted.

The Helia Renovables II, III and IV funds are managed by Plenium and marketed to Bankinter clients.

Plenium separately initiated a process to divest its directly owned, circa 420 MW Olivento onshore wind portfolio in summer 2024 but ultimately opted to discontinue the sale.

Plenium Partners declined to comment.
