M&A: Nvidia to acquire Groq assets in USD 20bn deal

Nvidia has agreed to buy assets from AI chip startup Groq in a USD 20bn all-cash deal, as it moves to expand its AI inference capabilities, according to a news report.

Under the agreement, Nvidia will acquire Groq’s assets and license its inference technology, while Groq’s cloud business is excluded.

Groq founder Jonathan Ross and other senior executives will join Nvidia, while Groq will continue operating as an independent company under new CEO Simon Edwards.
