TagEnergy is preparing to divest part of its UK BESS portfolio, it is understood.

The Mirova and Omnes Capital-backed group now owns or part owns with Harmony Energy over 320 MW of operational UK BESS capacity across England and Scotland, while it is also developing the 700 MW Aunchetiber BESS project in Inverclyde.

It is understood to have in recent weeks mandated Longspur Capital as its financial advisor for the process, which could potentially kick off later in Q2.

It is not yet known how many MW of BESS capacity TagEnergy is preparing to divest, although proceeds would conceivably be re-invested in the group’s development pipeline.

TagEnergy’s operating UK portfolio includes:

  • Lakeside (North Yorkshire, England): 100 MW/200 MWh
  • Hawkers Hill Energy Park (Dorset, England): 20 MW/40 MWh
  • Pitkevy (Fife, Scotland): 100 MWh
  • Roaring Hill (Fife, Scotland): 49.9 MW/100 MWh
  • Jamesfield (Abernethy, Scotland): 49 MW/98 MWh – in a JV with Harmony Energy
  • Chapel Farm (Scotland): 50MW – in a JV with Harmony Energy

TagEnergy also recently diversified into UK onshore wind, purchasing a circa 260 MW portfolio of late-development stage onshore wind projects from RES in Q4 2025.
