Local landowners have put up for sale the consented 65 MWp Copse Close Solar & (20 MW / 40 MWh) BESS project in Hampshire, it is understood.

The West Worldham-located scheme, which has been developed to the ready-to-build stage by local farmers the Brock Family, secured a 15-year CfD in the UK’s allocation round 6 in 2025 at a strike price of GBP 50.07 / MWh (in 2012 prices).

The group is working with financial advisor PKF Francis Clark on the transaction, which launched to the market in recent days with a request for non-binding offers later this month, according to market sources.

Under current timelines the seller is believed to be looking to then receive BAFOs in July before concluding a deal with the winning party in September.

Proceeds from the sale of the development – which is located on less productive farmland – will support the Brock Family in further investing in sustainable farming practices across the farm, it is understood.

The Brock Family secured planning consent for Copse Close in February 2023. It is anticipated that the project will be grid-connected by late 2029.
