Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has begun approaching banks this month to finance the 600 MW Fengmiao 2 Offshore Wind Farm in Taichung City in Taiwan.
The sponsor has appointed HSBC and CTBC Bank as joint financial advisers, NPM understands.
CIP secured development rights for Fengmiao 2 following the government’s Round 3.2 offshore wind tender in August 2024.
Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP), its offshore wind arm, is overseeing the project’s development.
Fengmiao 2 is CIP‘s fourth offshore wind project in Taiwan. In March 2025, the Danish group reached financial close on Fengmiao I with a TWD 103bn (USD 3.1bn) project financing from 27 international and Taiwanese banks.
CIP is also planning the Fengmiao 3 project, which is tipped to join the Round 3.3 auction.
Submissions are due on September 30.
CIP and HSBC declined to comment. CTBC did not respond to a request for comment.
