Low Carbon has begun sounding the market for a co-investor to support the development of its large scale UK solar pipeline.
The CVC DIF-backed group has included around six projects in the pipeline, the most mature of which – 400 MW Beacon Fen Energy Park in Lincolnshire, which will include 600 MW of co-located BESS – secured its development consent order (DCO) in August.
The investor is working with Santander in order to bring in a co-investor to back the development of the pipeline, with teasers for the proposed transaction having been circulated to the market in recent days.
Low Carbon is understood to be considering the divestment of either a minority or a majority stake in its pipeline.
In addition to Beacon Fen, Low Carbon also received a scoping opinion for the 500 MW South Kent Energy Park solar & BESS in August.
It is set to start public consultations on the 500 MW West Oxfordshire Energy Park this month.
Further known schemes include Somerset Energy Park and Dengie Peninsula Energy Park.
