Acciona Energia is marketing stakes in its 380 MW Aldoga solar farm and its 157.7 MW Mortlake South wind farm, sources said.
Aldoga, 20km from Gladstone, Queensland, is a flagship renewables project on Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) state land under a 30-year lease agreement, according to the project’s website.
State-owned gentailer Stanwell signed a 15-year PPA for 100% of the project’s output in October 2023, with plans to supply the proposed Central Queensland Hydrogen Project, which was scrapped in June last year.
The AUD 500m (USD 356m) project reached full commercial operations in December last year after it finished construction seven months ahead of schedule.
The AUD 280m Mortlake South wind farm has been operating since July 2024 in the Moyne Shire region of Victoria.
The project has 35 turbines and is connected to the 220 kV Terang substation, according to its website.
Construction at Mortlake South began in early 2019 but faced construction hurdles due to Covid-19, local media reported in 2020.
A spokesperson for Acciona Energia told NPM via email that the company does not comment on market speculation or potential transactions, particularly where matters may be commercially confidential or market sensitive.
“Asset rotation is an established part of ACCIONA Energía’s strategy, and we regularly review opportunities to optimise our portfolio and recycle capital into future growth projects,” the spokesperson said.
