FRANCE: Voltalia prepping BESS pipeline sale

Paris-based IPP Voltalia is preparing to launch the sale of a circa 180 MW pipeline of French BESS projects.

The group is understood to have mandated Tevali Partners as its financial advisor to run the transaction, with the process forecast to launch in September.

The pipeline of between 5-10 projects, once built, is envisaged to have a total storage capacity of 400 MWh. Most of the schemes in the portfolio are forecast to be permitted and commissioned between 2026-2028.

Voltalia is believed to be open to selling the projects at the development-stage they are currently at, or at ready to build.

Voltalia did not respond to a request for comment.
