GERMANY: GIGA Storage adds to BESS portfolio with 350 MW buy

GIGA Storage earlier this year added to its German BESS pipeline with the purchase of a second 350 MW / 1.4 GWh BESS project from developer Isenau, it has emerged.
The InfraVia Capital Partners-backed group previously purchased the similarly sized Albatross project near Neuenkirchen, Lower Saxony from Isenau in summer 2025, marking its entry into the German market.
Isenau announced this week that it had sold a 350 MW / 1.4 GWh BESS project in North-Rhine Westphalia to “an international battery infrastructure investor”, without disclosing the identity of the seller.
However, filings show that Netherlands-based GIGA Storage purchased the SPV holding the scheme in March.
The exact location of the North-Rhine Westphalia project or what stage of development it has reached is not yet known, although Giga is understood to have picked up Albatros last year at the late development stage.
