UNITED KINGDOM: Elm Trading buys Scottish solar supported by AR6 CfD from Innova
Elm Trading has completed the acquisition of an up to 18 MW solar project in Scotland from Innova, it is understood.
The Alpha Real-backed UK renewables platform bought the Mains House project in mid-July, according to company records, which is located near Arbroath on the east coast of the country.
Innova won a 15-year CfD in allocation round six (AR6) of the framework in 2024, with the project in line to receive a GBP 50.07 per MWh tariff (in 2012 prices).
The latter figure is now worth GBP 71.74 per MWh, according to CfD administrator Low Carbon Contracts Company.
The body also forecasts that Mains House, otherwise known as Park Hill Energy Extension, will be commissioned in the first part of 2028.
Elm Trading earlier in August also signed a trio of route-to-market PPAs with SmartestEnergy for a portfolio of AR6 wind and solar projects that were already under ownership.
Elm Trading and Innova were contacted for comment.
