FINANCING: Solar developer interviewing EPC firms, seeking USD 2.5bn for first data center project in Florida
VTV Energy, a solar developer, is interviewing EPC firms and seeking USD 2.5bn in capital for its first data center project in Florida.
CEO Hassan Saleh said in an interview that the company is laying the groundwork for a data center co-located with 600 MW of combined-cycle gas turbines, 110 MW of solar, and 100 MW of battery energy storage.
The ultimate critical IT capacity of the data center is still under review, Saleh said.
The company has entered into talks with landowners and is ready to acquire land for the project, pending completion of the capital raise. Saleh declined to disclose the location of the project but said he has discussed utility power arrangements with Duke Energy and that there are transmission lines running through the property.
VTV is interviewing EPC firms for the project over the next month, he said.
