ITALY: IB Vogt seen lining up 300 MW solar PV sale

IB Vogt is believed to be lining up the sale of the 300 MWp Castel di Ludica solar PV project in Sicily.

The consented scheme was part of a circa 7.7 GW wave of solar PV projects to secure a 20-year Fer-X contract in Italy’s auction for the support mechanism in late 2025.

The disposal process for Castel di Ludica is believed to be in its earliest stages, with a financial advisory search mooted to have kicked off in recent weeks.

It is not yet known whether IB Vogt will look to sell the asset at RTB, or on a forward-sale basis at COD.

Italy’s GSE awarded Fer-X contracts to 474 solar PV projects in December, at a weighted average price of EUR 56.83 per MWh, representing an average reduction of 37.34% compared to the ceiling price.

IB Vogt did not respond to a request for comment.
