ITALY: Iqony SENS launches 100 MW-plus solar PV pipeline sale

Germany-based renewables developer Iqony SENS has launched the sale of a 106 MW pipeline of mid- to late-stage solar PV development portfolio in Italy.

The group is seeking to dispose of 100% of an 18-strong project pipeline, which is located across northern and central regions of the country.

Some 11 of the projects are ready-to-build, four are in development, two are under construction, and the remaining asset – a 5.99 MW facility in Valenza in the Piedmont region – has been operational since early 2024.

Asterion Industrial Partners-owned Iqony SENS is keen to progress a swift sales transaction and is understood to be offering a measure of flexibility as to the structure of the deal, with forward sale of the development projects for delivery at ready-to-build a potential option. Non-binding offers are forecast to fall due in late Q1.

COD for the non-operational bulk of the portfolio is expected between Q1 2025 and Q1 2027, while most of the portfolio has been awarded FER 1 tariffs of EUR 65.20 / MWh or EUR 76.2 /MWh.

Meanwhile the rest of the projects – five of the assets – are eligible of the upcoming FER X framework.

EY (financial) is understood to be advising Iqony SENS on the sale.

Iqony SENS was contacted for comment.
