Ferservizi, acting on behalf of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), has launched a tender for the long-term supply of electricity from renewable sources, including associated guarantees of origin, under a PPA framework.
The procurement is structured into five separate lots and has a total estimated value of EUR 204.3m, excluding VAT. The electricity will be used to support state-owned rail infrastructure group RFI’s operations across Italy, with all deliveries scheduled to begin on October 1, 2025.
Lot 1, focused on photovoltaic supply, is valued at EUR 36.4m and will run until October 1, 2035.
Lot 2, covering wind energy, is estimated at EUR 45.5m and also spans a ten-year term ending in 2035.
Lot 3, another wind energy tranche, is valued at EUR 55.6m and shares the same duration.
Lot 4, a baseload supply contract, is worth EUR 30.7m and will run for five years until 2030.
Lot 5, also for baseload supply, is valued at EUR 36.1m and will likewise conclude in 2030.
Contracts will be awarded based on the lowest total price offered per lot. Tender bids must be submitted by June 20, 2025.
