Pioneer Point Partners has begun sounding the market for the sale of energy infrastructure platform Brockwell Energy, it is understood.

The group, alongside co-investor Davidson Kempner Capital Management and the founder management team, is being advised on the disposal by Citi (financial).

The advisor has started circulating teasers for the sale of the business in recent days, and is believed to be set to issue an IM and start a first round of bidding within the next couple of weeks. Non-binding offers are expected to fall due in September.

Brockwell Energy’s portfolio is spearheaded by two Scottish assets: Earls Gate, fully operational as of Q1 2024 and the 220.5 MW North Kyle Wind Farm in East Ayrshire, which was commissioned in mid-2025.

However, Earls Gate is understood to have been carved out of the Brockwell platform sale, with Barclays Capital having run a separate auction process for it over recent quarters. The project’s debt was refinanced in June, while the sales process is mooted to be set to relaunch after the summer.

Brockwell’s under-construction and late-stage pipeline comprises: 80 MW Breezy Hill onshore wind & BESS near Ayr, with a target COD of 2028; and 60 MW / 120 MWh Inchbean Farm BESS, which reached financial close in mid-2026.

Further solar & BESS developments include Tollgate Solar Farm (16 MW), Scawby Brook Solar Farm (50 MW), Greenstead Solar (40 MW), New Oak BESS (100 MW /200 MWh), Peat Dykes BESS (100 MW), Didcot BESS (300 MW) and the 400 MW co-located solar & BESS East Park complex north-west of St Neots.
