UNITED KINGDOM: Capital Dynamics puts 100 MW Scottish onshore wind pair on the market

Capital Dynamics has put up for sale a circa 100 MW portfolio of Scottish onshore wind projects.

The portfolio comprises two projects: Douglas West Extension, which is located 40km south-east of Glasgow in South Lanarkshire; and seven-turbine 37.2 MW Strathrory, which is located 4km north-east of Ardross and 8km north-west of Alness in the Scottish Highlands.

Douglas West is due to be fully operational before the end of Q1 2026, and will sell all of its output under a 15-year PPA to McDonald’s.

Strathrory, which was scheduled to come online in H2 2025, will sell its output to Yorkshire Water under a long-term PPA.

The fund manager is understood to be working with financial adviser PKF Francis Clark on the transaction, with teasers having begun circulating to the market in the second half of January.

Non-binding offers are projected to fall due in March.
