Forsa Energy has acquired the Winscales Moor and Burton Wold onshore wind projects from GCP Infrastructure Investments, it is understood.

Gravis-advised GCP Infra announced the deal on July 20, when the investor confirmed completion of the sale of two operational UK wind farms with a combined generation capacity of approximately 26.5 MW, without identifying the buyer.

However, NPM has now identified the Greenock-based power producer, which is backed by Tiger Infrastructure Partners, as the acquirer.

GCP Infra said the disposal generated total consideration of around GBP 11m.

The transaction completed at approximately 13% above the valuation attributed to the assets in the company’s net asset value as of March 31 2026.

The proceeds comprise an upfront payment together with deferred consideration linked to the achievement of certain milestones.

The company received approximately GBP 10.3m in cash on completion, with a further GBP 0.8m of tax-related proceeds expected shortly.

An additional GBP 0.6m of deferred consideration may become payable as milestones are met.

The sale forms part of GCP Infra’s capital allocation strategy, which includes reducing exposure to equity-style investments in the onshore wind sector and increasing financial flexibility.

The company added that its revolving credit facility remains fully undrawn following completion of the wind asset sale.

Burges Salmon (legal) advised GCP on the sale.

Forsa and Gravis were approached for comment.
