Innova has plans for two new data centre sites in London and South Wales with a combined IT capacity of 200 MW, NPM understands.
Innova confirmed that plans are afoot for a 150 MW project in England’s capital, and an additional 50 MW project in Bridgend.
The UK-focused developer expects grid connection dates in the early 2030s for both sites, with Gate 2 offers from the relevant Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) expected by the end of January.
Discussions are ongoing with investors and operators for both sites, a spokesperson from the company said, refusing to go into further detail at this stage.
It was reported last week that Innova had commenced partner discussions over the potential sales of six domestic data centre projects.
It was also reported that the UK renewable energy firm-turned-data centre developer had sold a Manchester site with a grid connection to an unnamed financial firm, while a deal for a 500 MW site in Durham with a US operator was nearing completion.
As well as plans for a 280 MW site in Swansea, a 280 MW site in Derbyshire and three 350 MW sites in Worcestershire, Buckinghamshire and Yorkshire, the company has a planned development near Manchester, with an IT capacity of 280 MW, which is now subject to public consultation.
Innova is experiencing particularly lively discussions over its new London 150 MW plans, according to a spokesperson from the company.
