Nala Renewables is understood to be lining up the acquisition and financing of a portfolio of UK solar assets.

The IFM Investors-backed group has traditionally had more of a focus on central and southern Europe, but has in recent quarters also entered the Finnish market with the purchase of a circa 300 MW portfolio of BESS assets from Fu-Gen.

The group has in recent weeks begun approaching the lending market in the UK requesting indicative terms for the financing of a circa 100 MW portfolio of UK solar assets, according to market sources.

The schemes – which would be purchased from third parties – are mooted to include a mix of PPA and CfD revenues.

Nala would be looking to raise in the region of GBP 60m – GBP 70m in debt, with financial close likely in late 2026, it is believed.
