OnPath Energy has acquired two early‑stage onshore wind developments in eastern England from independent developer Ashton Abraham, expanding its UK wind development pipeline.
The transaction, which closed on April 21 2026, according to company records, covers the Haldenby Moor and Moorends wind farm projects located in Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire respectively.
Haldenby Moor is located near Keadby in North Lincolnshire and is at an early stage of development.
The project has secured a grid connection offer from distribution network operator Northern Powergrid for 96 MW of capacity, according to documents published by the latter.
Moorends is meanwhile located nearby, close to Doncaster, just over the county boundary in South Yorkshire.
The project has secured a grid connection offer from Northern Powergrid for 61.75 MW.
The timing for connection of both projects is yet to be confirmed.
OnPath Energy will now take over responsibility for advancing both developments through further consenting, grid coordination and pre‑construction activity.
The sale is the latest disposal by Ashton Abraham, a Harrogate‑based renewable energy developer founded in 2024 by former Wind Estate management.
Earlier in 2026, Ashton Abraham agreed a separate transaction to sell the early‑stage Black Dubb onshore wind project in Cumbria to EDP’s UK renewables arm.
Black Dubb is planned to have a capacity of 48 MW and is located near Aspatria.
That transaction, which became binding shortly before Christmas 2025, marked Ashton Abraham’s first major UK wind disposal.
The developer has focused on originating and de‑risking early‑stage UK onshore wind projects before selling them to larger strategic owners.
Onpath and Ashton Abraham were approached for comment.
