Uniper is understood to have closed the acquisition of a 100 MW trio of solar projects from Innova which are underpinned by CfD tariffs secured in the past two auction rounds held under the UK incentives framework.
The German utility earlier this week (February 16) closed a transaction for the 49.9 MW Lower Farm solar and energy storage project in Staffordshire, the 27.5 MW North Preston solar park in Somerset, and the 21.6 MW Bedworth PV scheme near Coventry, according to company records.
Lower Farm was among the successful entrants to the latest CfD round, allocation round seven (AR7), which reported its results earlier in February 2026.
The project won a 20-year tariff worth GBP 65.23 / MWh (in 2024 prices) in the contest.
Meanwhile, both North Preston and Bedworth were chosen in 2024’s allocation round six (AR6), securing 15-year contracts at a strike price of GBP 50.07 / MWh (in 2012 prices, equivalent to GBP 71.74 /MWh after indexation).
Innova also won contracts for several other projects in both auction rounds, including a total of nine solar entries in AR7 with a combined contracted capacity of 265 MW.
The group meanwhile itself acquired the Bedworth site from Industria Brand Energy in spring 2024.
Meanwhile, Uniper has been steadily expanding its UK holdings in recent quarters, with deals including the purchase of the AR6-backed 39 MW Glenniston solar farm in Fife, Scotland from Renewco Power in summer 2025.
PKF Francis Clark (financial) advised Innova on the current sale.
