GERMANY: Elements Green puts 400 MW German battery storage development on the block

Developer Elements Green has put up for sale a circa 400 MW battery storage project in northern Germany, it is understood.

The group - via subsidiary Elements Green Deutschland - secured preliminary planning approval for the Elfsfleth, Lower Saxony-located project at a local council meeting on March 26, and it has now mandated financial advisor Capcora to support on the disposal of the scheme, according to market sources.

The transaction is believed to be in its early stages and is forecast to run through Q3.

Elements Green is currently progressing a renewables and grid flexibility development pipeline in excess of 10 GW across the UK, EU, Australia and the US.

The group in late February completed an initial phase of consultation for its up to 800 MW Great North Road solar with battery storage project in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire.
