POLAND: OX2 sounding out investors over Polish BESS sale

OX2 is understood to be eyeing the sale of a 50 MW/100 MWh battery storage project in Poland.

The Sweden-based group secured a capacity market contract for the south of Poland-located scheme in late 2022, although the details of the contract are currently unclear.

The group has already begun approaching potential investors in the project, and would provide EPC services to bring it online post-sale, according to market sources. JLL (financial) is supporting on the sale, it is understood.

The project is understood to be close to ready to build, although the capacity market start date is believed to be 2027.

OX2 did not respond to a request for comment.
