UNITED KINGDOM: Conrad Energy seeking new CEO after Hardman’s departure

Conrad Energy is understood to be running a process to appoint a new CEO after the previous incumbent, Steven Hardman, exited the business.

Hardman, who has headed up the company since 2017, is understood to have recently left without a successor lined up, leading to the current executive search process.

But the IPP, which holds assets ranging from batteries and solar farms to synchronous condensers and gas peakers, is said to have parted ways with Hardman under amicable circumstances with the latter believed to be winding down his business interests.

Hardman was prior to Conrad the commercial director at fellow UK-based power generator Infinis where he worked alongside I Squared Capital fund partner Damian Darragh. Conrad is now a portfolio company of I Squared.

Conrad was contacted for comment.
